About Us! Welcome to Imminent Protection! My name is Kathy Zavakos; I am somewhat of an animal nut! From large to small, I Have 24 years of experience in breeding, raising and training dogs. I also have well over 20 years showing, training and breeding champion caliber horses. Dogs are my passion in life! Some of the breeds that I have worked or continue to work with include: Wolfs, Chows, Welsh corgi’s, German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds, Rottweilers and Jack Russell’s. Currently I have Rottweilers, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherds and German Shepherds. We strive to produce only the finest in confirmation, mentality, workability and all round excellent dogs. The dogs we breed come from the best bloodlines available, we have gone to Europe to personally pick out several of our breeding females. What it means to you as a prospective dog owner. Good Confirmation: I breed for the ideal confirmation so that your dog will not have bad hips, elbows or various other structural problems. We all know or have heard stories of a beloved dog having to be put down due to bad physical structure. Registered: Even if you never have any intention of showing your dog, the dogs I breed are outstanding for the show ring. What showing and Registration aims for: The goal of most, if not all breeders that take the time and interest to register their dogs: is to breed as close to perfection as possible. No hip displasia, elbow or eye problems, etc. Mentally Sound: an excellent member of the family, social if you tell him to be, protective on his own, Highly trainable, able to perform given tasks, agile and Intelligent. Strong Working Lines: Our dogs are from strong Competing / Working or Show bloodlines. This means that the parents or grandparents, etc were titled in one aspect or another.
I have achieved the rating of 'Excellence as a Patrol K-9 Handler'. Have over Hundreds hours of certified K-9 training. We continually train monthly. Areas of training: Straight bite work Send Stand still re-send Pat down Courtesy Call off Handler protection Article search Area Search Building Search Vehicle extraction Gun fire Tracking Obstacles Obedience Tactical As Lucca's Handler, he achieved the rating of 'Excellence as a Patrol K-9' Lucca and I are the first and currently the only K-9 Unit working in a Colorado Hospital.
We have imported several Numerous Malinois and Shepherds for other trainers specifically for the training and sale to Police / Sheriff Organizations and Security departments.
